Today, went out to the places I said I would, except the Bird Park.  lol

Got up early.  Got to the National Museum early.  At 11AM went down to see if the tour was starting and if anyone I knew had arrived.  The tour didn’t seem to happen, so at 11:10 / 11:15 I decided to check out the rest of the museum by myself.

Funny thing is, I seem to remember visiting the museum back in 1972.   Yes, it hasn’t changed much … except I remember they had a giant eagle statue thing at one end of the museum … or am I mistaking it for another Malaysian museum?

Visited the two galleries next to the museum as well.  Was slightly appalled when I went to the mens room, because a guy came out of the cubicle, stood in front of the mirrors and ran his fingers through his hair and left!  OMGoodness!  I thought people here liked to wash there hands.  I thought it was part of their religion to WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER DOING NUMBER TWOS!!!!  OMGoodness!!!!!

Bought some gifts for my family etc back in Aussie.  Then decided to go for a walk to the Islamic Arts Museum.  Decided to go via the Observatory, which meant a nice hike over the hill there.  Got to the Museum, was a little early, so went to the National Mosque … wasn’t enough time to take photos etc, so went back to the National Islamic Arts Museum.  Entered and was directed downstairs.  Hope no one was waiting for me in an area other than what I was in, as we would have missed each other.

Had a great time at the museum.  I’m the sort of person who reads everything [don't expect me to remember any of it though.  lol]  Liked the armour and weapons [because I'm into that sort of stuff ... especially old stuff that doesn't get used any more, like swords and shields and chain mail etc].

Then trotted off to the National Mosque and took a few pictures. Bought some nice pictures outside the mosque [Suan said she could do better ... then admitted she couldn't.  lol  She's funny!  ]

Walked all the way back to Sentral Station as it was almost 4PM.  Skipped the Bird park [can do that another day la].  Spotted some people fishing in the drains near there.  Took a few shots of them [will download later] 
Phoned Suan from Dunkin Donuts and headed off to meet her.  Walked to her office.  lol  Lots of walking.  If I hadn’t eaten and drunk so much today and tonight I might have lost some weight.  lol

She had a surprise for me.  We met up with my hero Lainie.  I am even more impressed with meeting her in person.  :D  So happy to have met her.

Then, after our early dinner with Lainie.  AWESOME!  So many awesome people on my visit so far!  How many more Awesome people can I meet?  I had Cheesy Aussie Chips and Vegetarian Soba.  lol  What a combination, Aussie and Japanese food.  lol
Dropped Lainie off, as she had a dinner date.  Suan and I went and got some Italian for second dinner. Had a vegetarian lasagne [however you spell that].  Then, we went to a supermarket to buy some water [I've been drinking the Hotels water and as such will have a big bill at the end of my stay.]  lol

Then of to Starbucks for third dinner … nah, just kidding, even I can’t eat that much.  We went for drinks.  OMGoodness! Someone walked up to us whom I recognized immediately!!!  My Pseudo Heart Throb [I'm always being told I have a crush on this girl ... but I think Lainie would be the girl I'd have a crush on if I ever got one on someone] FIREANGEL!!!  OMGoodness!  Can a night get any better than this ????  OMGoodnessssss!  *faints*

Was a great evening.  I have some video I took whilst out and about [though my battery died very quick], and some photos as well.  Will download and upload them later.  Am off to bed now.

ALSO, tomorrow, at the insistence of Suan, I am going to Genting Highlands.  She said the magic word to me!  ROLLERCOASTER!  OMGoodness!  The night DID get even better!

Anyway, for anyone wanting to meet up tomorrow night [Friday], I believe I am free.  [Sorry Reta, I went from tourist mode to Meet Suan straight away today, so didn't get your message till I got home] … anyway, Suan is warn out from being my Uberguide Extraordinaire and needs a night off.  I’m going to propose that as I’m going to Genting Highlands it might be hard to meet up there if you wanted to go … so I’ll put out the offer to meet at Mid Valley North Court at 7PM for anyone wanting to meet me, and we’ll try to find a place to eat in Mid Valley or somewhere close.  [Else, by 7:10PM I'm going to find my own food]
